Finding the right place for your child to learn is crucial to their future. The pressures of large schools can result in young people feeling overwhelmed, unhappy or anxious. Some children require a smaller, less intimidating learning environment where they will be nurtured personally as well as academically. Basil Paterson Middle School was established to offer a small, safe environment for young people to study towards National 4s and National 5s. We are a coeducational day school for pupils aged 14-16. Central to our educational ethos is the belief that the more time your child spends with their teacher, the more they will achieve. Our personalised programme enables our pupils to overcome the barriers and challenges they may have faced in their learning careers to date.
